Council of Black Leaders
The Council of Black Leaders (CBL) is a wonderful leadership opportunity for undergraduate, graduate and professional students. This planning and advisory council works directly with the Multicultural Center to plan quality programs, ensure collaboration with other university units and community groups, and to assist with proactive student advocacy. The CBL invite all who identify with the Black Diaspora into the OSU Community to help make sure their voice is heard. Meetings take place every other Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Multicultural Center, Lincoln Tower, room 128. See the calendar of events for meeting dates or contact Christa Porter, porter.554@osu.edu, for more information.
The Nationwide Diversity Leadership Transcript Program
The Diversity Leadership Transcript Program (DLTP) is geared toward undergraduate, graduate or professional students interested in enhancing their OSU experience through co-curricular involvement focused on diversity, social justice, service and leadership. The program encourages students to gain leadership expertise in diversity as well as participate in community service and activities. DLTP provides diversity training through experiential learning and service and serves as a unique way of supporting student identity and interpersonal development during their time at The Ohio State University. DLTP participants will receive a Certificate in Intercultural Awareness and Community Engagement at the end of the academic year. The purpose of the cohort is to create a community among multi-generations of women that actively works towards solidarity, leadership, and community wellness a The Ohio State University. We guide this program, based in the seven principles: truth, justice, righteousness, reciprocity, balance, harmony and order. Using these principles, we begin an ongoing journey of increasing awareness and making conscious choices towards a more successful existence for ourselves and our communities. Members consistently ask themselves and each other to strive towards righteousness, to serve in the best interest of the common good, and to continue holding responsibility for our society's health.
