Indian Classical Music Concert
November 6, 2009 (7:00 pm - 9:00 pm)
Location: Hitchcock Hall auditorium
Ohio State University student organization SPICMACAY (the Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth) has an upcoming concert that would be great for Ohio State students to attend. The concert is free and provides students and the general public exposure to South Indian classical music right on OSU's campus!
The Ohio State Chapter of the Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth (SPICMACAY) is proud to present our Fall Concert. SPICMACAY OSU will be hosting a South Indian classical music lecture demonstration and concert by the world renowned N. Ravikaran on the Chitravina (a stringed instrument). Accompaniment will be provided by Rohan Krishnamurthy on the Mrudangam (drums). The events will take place on Friday, November 6th, 2009 on the OSU Campus in the auditorium of Hitchcock Hall. The lecture demonstration will begin at 5:30pm and will be followed by the concert at 7:00pm. Light Indian refreshments will be served in between the two events. Both events are FREE of cost!
