Events and Programs
The Student Life Multicultural Center's (MCC) intercultural model is one that welcomes all community members* to all events while at the same time supporting and celebrating specific constituency groups (including African/African American, Asian/Asian American, American Indian/Indigenous, Hispanic/Latino, Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Women, Men and Faith communities).
Examples of MCC programming include cultural and intercultural community celebrations of heritage and awareness events, lectures, movies, art exhibits, student diversity leadership and cohorts, social justice events and programming, three-credit courses, community dialogues, contests, and cultural recognition celebrations.
* The Ohio State University community consists of students, faculty, staff, alumni and other members of the broader community. MCC events intentionally include Allies -- members of any and all constituency groups are invited to attend events that celebrate constituency groups that may not be familiar to them, as a way to learn about and show support for all cultures represented at OSU.
